On May 15 of 1997, in New York, Sandro Dernini was awarded by the School of Education of New York University of the Ph.D. Degree in Art Education for his study on “ Plexus Black Box, a multicultural aesthetic inquiry on an international community art project.” It was celebrated with an experimental web event at The Cooper Union managed by George Chaikin with the members of the Ph.D Committee and with the NYC Plexus historical players. After it was held a celebration party at Ray Kelly's basement at the hsitorical building of A's, 330 Broome Street.
