PHENOMENOLOGICAL REPORTS FROM MY PH.D STUDIES AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY  ART DEPARTMENT

Eating Art

Its implications in the Arts and Sciences.

A multi-lateral inquiry on "Art" as "Food"

by Dr. Sandro Demini.

The human body and mind are parts of a total intelligent human being.. Body and Mind-, are products and results of the cellular Evolution of that human being from where they come from. Both are costantly interacting together and one affects the other one.

This endless interaction requires that both sides receive a supply of energy in form of nourishment.

Can be considered "Art" a form of nourishment for the Mind and for the Body of a human being?

"Art" consuption producing emotions affects the metabolism and the catabolism of the human organism, is it possible that "Art" can be considered an aliment in fisiological processes?

Can be "Art" as "Food" a thermodynamic aliment/element in the biochemistry of the Evolution of the Homo Sapiens Sapiens?

In my multi-lateral investigation, I  will research the .possibility that exposure to "Art" causes bio-chemical changes, which may affect the thermodynamics of the human body.

My interdisciplinary research is concerned the possibility that "Art" as an invisible electromagnetic food is involved in the biological development og the Human Being. I will use the definition of "BodyMachine" to unify in one, integrated structure

Body and Mind culturally and biologically entangled together.

I will use my  BodyMachine  and PIiEXUS BodyMachine as a experimental multinational laboratory, structured as an  intelligent artists "stomach" to digest "Art" and "not Art", and then compare obtained data

The goals of this pilote research is to build .more then one bridge between the conservative concept of anatomy of the western school of Medicine  and the evolutive global vision of the anatomy of the intelligent total .organism in which also the human organism belongs.

I will use the metaphoric language of the Serpent eating its tail to symbolize the recycling of the Body and Mind in one "Matter", One on One, in one energy that acts as a selfnourishment for the PLEXUS BodyMachine, 'that does not disappear in consuming itself, but instead, it is transformed continuasly in new Matter through new "Art" enerqy, by eating ART.

 THE BIO-MEANS OF ART

Dr. Sandro Dernini

Introduction to the problem:

The human being is made by an integrated system of body and mind, a sociobiological organism absorbing and transforming “energy”, which provides necessary ionic charges for it sociobiochemical moves.

These ionic charges effect the recombination of many conductive chemicals in solution in the human body, during the physiological process of transformation from “Matter-Food” into “Energy”.

The ionic recombination supply the recycling “Energy” for the human body to exist and to think.

Through networks of differentiated cells in communication together by interactive systems (Plexus or Charas) this “Energy” is responsible of the sociobiological information and its genetic transmission.

The human being like the physical world, with all its animate and inanimate realities, is made in space and time, by ionic transformations of differentiated states of “Energy” as “Matter”.

In both the human and the physical world diversity in forms and behaviors is only a phenomenological effect of the relativism of the atomic crystal configuration on which the micro and macro realm of the Reality is build.

The whole Reality in which the human being lives is time-factored by energy configurations and transformations of the ionic crystal mask of “Matter” from the computer silicon chips to the physiological sodium pump of the human cellular membranes, from the snow to the rocks of the mountains, from the DNA of the chromosome to the bones of the skeleton, from thinking to conversation.

Many factors of Culture and Biology are crossing over as part of a whole socio-biological organism, in which also the individual body and mind are genetically interacting together and in interdependence.

“Art” as sociobiological “Matter” can be documented as a cross over between Biology and Culture, beyond their physical differences, able to transfer information or/as ionic “Energy” from one system to the other one. Time Is now the 4th dimension of soace. "Time-Space" has changed "Logic"

One Nanosecond Is a billion fractions of one second. It Is the time with what are working our logical computers, It Is the time measured before to be able to think It. It Is the a-rational time that exist before Its thinking, and Its cartesian dependence of "Coglto ergo sum"

"Art" as "Energy-Information" as a socloblologlcal Know How, may have the capacity to develop Its own soclo-blologlcal communication, able to perceive and transmit the Immunologlcal code the human being, may be speaking as the dolphin's sonar by quantum o energy, directly from Its Ionic pulsar charges.                -

"Art" can be the Environmental Radar for a future sociobiological navigation towards New Worlds as Marshall MacLuhan said. Able to see beyond the unilinear-rational horizon of pragmatic schools or controlled markets, like Albert Einstein's curved Time-Space concept, which posed the attention to the curved space, and of the use of the Time as the 4th dimension of the curved Space, where, micro and macro, positive and negative, ying and yang, and two parallel lines meet In the Infinity.

If "Time-Space" Is "Infinity", may be there Is where the logical binary system of the "concept of Art" will meet with the non predictable quantum of "Energy" crossing the phenomenological physical separation between body and mind.

"Art" as "Energy" as "Time-Space" can be concised In one whole organism, In many plexus vibrating of "Matter" in Evolution, only Imperfectly perceived.

PROBLEM:

This study will explore and document if “Art” is a part of the socio-biological process of the human being.

Subproblems:

A) How to frame the definition related to my field?

B) Under what circumstances can “Art” be considered a form of “Energy”?

C) How to document in wich ways the physical world is influenced or effected by “Art”?

D) Which factores of Culture and Biology are overcrossing?

E) If “Art” as “Energy” has a sociobiological immunological value of “Information”, how body and mind are sharing it?

F) Can be found in the contemporary art-science movements informations coming from the cross over between culture and Biology?

G) How can “Art” be considered as a “Biocultural-resource” as gas, wood, food, or gold for the development and sustainability of the human and natural Environment?

Methodology:

-Readings in the related fields.

-Study the XX century historical controversial discoveries as possible overcrossing factors between scientific discoveries and artistic process.

Introduction to the problem:

The human being Is made by a physical integrated system, a socio-biological organism absorbing and transforming "energy", which provides necessary ionic charges for its sociobio-chemical moves .

These ionic charges effect the recombination or many conductive chemicals in solution in the human body, during the physiological process of metabolism from "Matter-Food" into "Matter-Energy."

The ionic recombination supplies necessary conditions for the human body to exist and to think.

Through networks of differentiated cells in communication together by interactive systems (Plexus or Chakas) this "Energy" is responsible of the socio-biological informatiom and its genetic transmission.

The human being llke the physical world, with all its animate and inanimate realities, is made, in space and time, by ionic transformations of differentiated states of "Energy=Matter".

Our and their diversity in forms and behaviors is only a phenomenological effect of the relativism of the atomic crystal configuration on which the micro and macro realm of the Reality is built, and in which also the Homo Sapiens is part with his bio-cultural mind.

Anyway, the whole Reality in which the human being lives is time-factored by energy configurations and transformations of the ionic crystal mask of the "Matter": from the computer silicon chips to the physiological sodium pump of the human cellular membranes, from the snow to the rocks of the mountains, from the DNA of the chromosome to the bones of the skeleton, from thinking to conversation.

Many factors of Culture and Biology are crossing over as part of a whole living organism, in which also the individual body and mind are genetically interacting together and in interdependence.

"Art" as a socio-biological "Matter" can be documented as a cross-over between Biology and Culture, beyond their physical differences, able to transfer information or/as ionic "Energy" from one system to the other one.

My theoretical proposition is to document the overcrossing relationships between "Art", "Energy" and Biology, in a physical reality that cannot be reduced or framed to or by a predicted logicai theory.

Time is now the 4th dimension. "Time-Space" has changed "Logic".

One Nanosecond is a billion fractions of one second. It is the time with which are working our logicai computers, it is the time measured before to be able to think it. It is the a-rational time that exists before its thinking, and its cartesian dependence of "Cogito ergo sum".

"Art" as "Energy-Information" as a sociobiological Know How, may have the capacity to develop its own socio-biological communication, able to perceive and transmit the immunological code of the human being, may be speaking as the dolphin's sonar by quantum of energy, directly from its ionic pulsar charges.

"Art" can be the Environmental Radar for a future sociobiological navigation towards New Worlds as Marshall MacLuhan wrote.

"Art" as "Energy" as "Time-Space" can be concised in one whole organism, in one vibrating non continuum quantum of "Matter", in Evolution, only imperfectly perceived and divided by positivist theories with its "Isms" or systems.

PROBLEM:

The theoretical purpose of this study is to explore and document if "Art" is a part of the socio-biological process of the human being.

Subproblems:

A)   I will investigate if modern theories of Physics and Albert Einsten's Relativity can be applied to my sociobiological hypothesis of "Art" as "Energy", amplified by Nobert Wierner's theory of Information E=M=I

Where:

E= to Energy

M=to Matter

c2=to the speed of the light

I= to Information

if "Art" is "Concept" therefore is "Concept-Matter",

I can infer that

"Art" is "Matter" = "Energy" = Information = Concept

I can deduce that

A=M=E where for A is "Art"

then

Because Mc2=E=I for Information theory I can infer that A=I depending upon that c2 (the speed of light) has a new logical time value, that I called "Art Logic", independent from the Logic of the Cartesian heritage of " I think therefore I am".

B)   In which circumstances "Art" can be considered a form of "Energy" or "Information"?

C)   How to document in which ways the physical world is influenced or effected by "Art"?

D)   Which factors of Culture and Biology are overcrossing?

E) If "Art" as "Energy" has a sociobiological crossing over value of "Information", how body and mind are sharing it? Can be through its immunological system?

F) Can be found in the contemporary art-science movements informations  coming from the cross over between Culture and Biology?

G)   How can "Art" be considered as a "Biocultural-resource" as gas, wood, food, or gold for the development and sustainability of the human and natural Environment?

Methodology:

-Readings in the related fields

-Definitions

-Study the XX century historical controversial discoveries as possible overcrossing factors between scientific discoveries and artistic process

-Deconstruction of a work of Art of a contemporary artist (Gaetano Brundu, IL2) in parallel with the deconstruction of a work of a contremporary scientist (Dr. Sandro Dernini, time a way to fly) for an analogycal investigation of their relative scientific and artistic methods.

- Analyze in what ways contemporary art movements are influenced, if they are, by scientific discoveries, and analyze in what ways scientific discoveries are influenced, if they are, by artistic process.

-Report and development of the results.

- Graphic visualizations of the quantitative and qualitative evaluations

 ART AS FOOD

a biological need for the evolution of the Homo Sapiens

Sandro Dernini, NYU 1988 Course Foundations of Research, prof. James Finkestein

In 1974, after I graduate as doctor in Biology at the University of Cagliari, Sardinia,  I started to work as Biochemist at the Institute of Biochemistry of the University of Rome “ La Sapienza”.

For four years I was the first assistant researcher of Prof.Carlo DeMarco, the current Dean of the Medicine School of Rome University.

I analyzed quantitative and qualitative separations of sulfuraminoacids involved in the metabolism of the Human corpus, investigations that were published in more than 18 international scientific scholarly journals.

During this period of time I become concerned about many environmental influences on the measurement of physiological human factors. The Research's environment was influenced not only by technical elements but also and specially by cultural-political conditionaments coming from to belong to that team of school.

These conditionaments on the scientific research motivated my decision to be more involved on the investigation of the interdisciplinary aspects of the interactives of Science and Culture in every day life.

For the past 14 years I worked, as cultural director, in the production of varius multinational and interdisciplinary cultural projects, trying to cross the boundaries of a monotheistic perception-presentation of the subject-object.

Specially I became interested in the relationship between producer and consumer of cultural commodities, that are influencing the life and the evolution of the human being.

Homo sapiens's life is the result of a biological process that in influenced by the environment in which is devolping, and culture is interacting with biology in changing the homo sapiens's habitat.

The interaction between biology and culture is influencing qualitatively and quantitatively the Body machine of the Homo sapiens.

Art as a modern commodity symbol can be considered as a product as well as food to be consumed by the human body machine, the integrated complex of mind and corpus.

The western medicine school, from where also I come from, never accepted the fusion of the two entities (mind+body) as biological parts of the human being.

I started in my researching working experience to discover that many elements of our culture and nature cannot be analized as separated entities but as part of a whole unknown living organism.

Art is one product of the human creativity that has the capacity for its a-rational process to give tha outline of a new approach to the physical perception.

The deconstruction of art-facts can be one of the different methodologies that can be used to understand how a subjective phenomenological perception can be reduced to a general usefull perception with the goal of a better understanding of the nature of the human being.

My alive experience in the first person will be my approach to the development of my research.
